FaceTite is one of today’s most innovative medical devices. It’s specially designed to target the small, curved areas of your face, where it permanently removes fat and tightens your skin using radiofrequency energy combined with cutting-edge technology.
Whether you want to slim down your cheeks, get rid of jowls, or diminish deep folds around your nose and mouth, FaceTite can produce the results you hope to achieve.
The FaceTite device consists of two connected pieces: a cannula or narrow tube that goes through the fat below your skin, and an external electrode that glides on top of your skin above the cannula. Here’s how it works:
The tip of the cannula emits radiofrequency (RF) energy that heats fat cells just enough to make them break down. The treated fat is permanently eliminated as your body naturally removes the waste.
Once the fat is gone, you don’t need to worry about loose skin because FaceTite takes care of that problem. When RF energy leaves the cannula, it travels toward the electrode at the skin’s surface. The energy stream is controlled to ensure a precise treatment zone that doesn’t affect surrounding tissues.
Heat from the RF energy contracts the existing collagen, producing an immediate but temporary skin-tightening effect. The heat also triggers the production of new collagen. Over the next six months, your skin continues to tighten and strengthen thanks to ongoing collagen production.
Before your procedure, Dr. Elias talks with you about the type of anesthesia you prefer. Many patients need only a local anesthetic, but you may request oral sedation if needed to help you relax.
Dr. Elias places the incision in an area where it’s hidden. However, the cannula is so thin and the incision is so tiny that any scarring is minimal. After inserting the cannula, he gently and methodically moves the cannula through the targeted area of fat.
The FaceTite device constantly monitors the temperature, keeping fat cells at the temperature needed to make them break down, while making sure your skin stays at a comfortable temperature.
You should expect to have swelling following your FaceTite procedure. While you can minimize swelling with compression garments and ice, you may want to take a few days to recover.
