Looking for a faster, easier way to obtain a full mouth of replacement teeth? Teeth in an hour might be the right solution for you. This procedure combines state-of-the-art technology with advanced implant techniques to give you the teeth you have been wanting with less time in the dentist’s chair and a shorter recovery period. At Southern California Center for Surgical Arts, we offer the revolutionary teeth in an hour to qualifying patients, giving them another option.

What is Teeth in One Hour?

Teeth in one hour is a special technique developed by Nobel Biocare. The procedure allows for the placement of a dental implant within one hour, instead of taking the usual 4-9 months to complete the process. Teeth in one hour utilizes computer imaging and other advanced techniques to provide both accuracy and safety with much less pain than other types of implant procedures.

Candidates for Teeth in One Hour

The best candidates for teeth in one hour will be those requiring a full mouth of teeth that have good bone quantity and a healthy jaw. The procedure cannot be performed on patients with an infection or on those that will be having extraction and implants performed in the same procedure. The patient must be able to open his mouth a certain amount in order to allow for the procedure to be performed properly.

About the Procedure

Teeth in one hour begin with a CT scan to provide a 3-dimensional image of your jaw structure. That image is then used to create the customized stent and teeth that will be placed into your jaw at your one appointment. Two weeks are generally required between the CT scan and your appointment to place the stent.

At your appointment, the implant bridge will be placed into the jaw in the precise location to give you the best aesthetic result and tooth function. Surgical sites are created for the placement of the implant bridge using the surgical guide that ensures accuracy of the placement. No sutures are needed and patients generally experience less swelling and discomfort than they do with other types of implant procedures.

Benefits of Teeth in one hour

There are numerous advantages of teeth in one hour versus other methods of implant surgery:

  • Implants can be placed in a single, brief doctor’s appointment
  • No need for incisions or sutures during the procedure
  • Teeth are customized to fit the patient’s mouth for a natural look
  • Patient enjoys immediate function of the new teeth
  • Patient experiences less swelling, bruising and post-operative discomfort
  • Patients can resume normal activities like eating by the day after surgery
